A Special Note for Watchers - Less than 5 Days to Go!

Hey there friends.  

This is special note for those of you who have saved this project but haven't yet chosen whether or not you want to pledge.   In Kickstarter parlance, you're called "watchers" and this note is especially for you!

We get it.  I'm known to be a procrastinator (ed. this is Daniel writing), and sometimes I need the fact that a deadline is coming to help me reach my final decision.  I'm usually thinking about it all along, but the pressure of the decision date helps me clarify my mind and reach an outcome.

Maybe you're there right now and trying to decide what you want to do about this deck.  Well, here are a points that might help you reach your decision:

• We are less than 5 days away from the close of the campaign.  This means that the project officially ends Friday, July 14th at 11:58 am Eastern time.  Maybe you have a busy week ahead?  Maybe you're thinking, I will get to it later.  Now's the time!  Don't put it off!

Hello all!  

Here are some special options as we reach the last 10 days of the campaign.  

New campaign tier at a special discount

We can see that we have many folks who are watching the campaign but haven't yet made the decision to support us.  As a special incentive, we have opened up a new tier which provides a significant discount to the next 30 people who choose to back the campaign.  This tier, called the "Artist's Deadline", offers a copy of the deck and both the altar cloth and the zipper close tarot bag.  Adding these items individually would total $100, but for the next 30 backers, we are offering this bundle at only $75 which offers a significant discount!

New Add-On: Virtual Companion Book

Thanks to the suggestion of one of our backers, we are also offering a digital copy of the companion guidebook.  This digital copy is available as an optional add-on to any reward level and will be offered free to anyone who purchases the physical copy of the companion book.

We're down to the final 10 days, friends.  If we can reach our second stretch goal of $10,000 (which is very doable), then the box for the cards will be upgraded to a magnetic closure (we're working on a prototype to share with you).

Hello all, it's time for another update as the clock begins to run down on this amazing campaign...

Happy 4th of July!

To those of you who celebrate, happy American Independence Day!  May it be a day of rest and relaxation, and reflection on the meaning of "liberty and justice for all".  In our Painted Lady Tarot, the Strength card brings a particularly patriotic view to mind (with the red, white and blue imagery surrounding the lion typically represented in the card).  May we remember the power inherent in our democracy and not take for granted the awesome obligation we have to hold ourselves to a high standard.

 For those who may want to see a complete flip-through of the cards in the deck, here are 2 videos recorded by Daniel and one by TarotOracle which take you through each card one at a time.  Note that the deck featured is a prototype and there may be small changes or improvements to the cards in the final deck, but these images give you a good idea of what you will see when the cards arrive!

First Stretch Goal Unlocked: Three Bonus Cards!!!

Hello all and congratulations!  We have achieved our first stretch goal of the campaign, and that is unlocking bonus cards for the deck.  Originally, we announced that when we reached the first stretch goal of $7,500, we would add one bonus card, but as a surprise and a thank you to each one of you, we are adding three bonus cards instead, tripling this reward!

Welcome the fates... or the three ages...

As our bonus cards, we will be featuring three extra Major Arcana cards:  The Maiden 1961, The Artist, and the Crone.  All three are reflections of the Painted Lady and are meant to be reflections as well of the three fates Clotho (the Spinner), Lachesis (the Alloter) and Atropos (the Inflexible).  In fact, The Maiden 1961 actually features a portrait of our artist, Ann Rosenberg.

As you can see from the image above all three cards when placed together form a complete picture, although in the deck they will be separated into individual cards.  Each will be described in the accompanying guidebook and companion book, and we will provide divinatory meanings for each.  For those who prefer a more traditional 78 card Tarot these cards can be removed prior to a reading.

Of course, you can also order art prints or aluminum prints of these cards if you would like.  

We can't wait to present our next stretch goal at $10,000 - an upgraded box for the cards (and, who knows, maybe another bonus card too).

We are so excited to be well above our initial goal, and we are gearing up for our printing and production process, but today we are thrilled to be able to offer you two new optional add-ons for your consideration.

First, we have the Tarot Altar Cloth:

Made from beautiful polyester and sized at 22 x 22 inches, this cloth will serve as a perfect accompaniment to the Painted Lady deck.  As an example, here is a photo of the cards laid out on the cloth:

The Altar Cloth is available for $20 and is a perfect addition to your deck.

Also available with this update is a stunning zipper closure Tarot Bag.  The bag is 4 in x 7 in and is the perfect size for the Tarot deck and the accompanying booklet:

The bag is made from 100% polyester cloth cover with high-density foam inner and black liner.  It will carry your cards in the stylish ay they deserve.

The Tarot bag is also $20 if you would like to add it to your pledge.

How do I add on a new item to my pledge?

You can adjust your pledge by clicking the “Manage your pledge" button. On the following page, select "Change your pledge".  From here, choose the same pledge level (or change your pledge level if you would like). Once you've done that, you’ll have the option to add any add-on rewards, or give a little extra with bonus support including the new Tarot Altar Cloth and Bags.

Only 16 days to go!

I know we can make it to the $7,500 level and once we do we have a special bonus for anyone who has pledged to the deck.  We are planning on adding not 1, not 2, but 3 additional cards to the deck...  These will be added to anyone who has pledged for the deck so far, so stay tuned to meet our new cards!
